Christmas Tree Layout

Things are getting a little Christmas nutty around here so I'm posting up some advance images of Tracy's upcoming classes on the 14th and 17th of December. Check out the very cool detail of making the tree using a border punch!

Scrapbooking with SlinkyMalinki... oops Tracy!

Tracy has created this lovely layout of her daughter dressed as Slinky Malinki and is her featured class for this Thursday's Scrapbooking with Tracy class.

This layout uses the gorgeous red and black Sakura papers from Kaisercraft and would suit all kinds of photographs.

layout for Product Preview: My Mind's Eye: Nice Ride

Our layout project for the evening. Colours are brighter in real life

Hi friends,
Here is the layout we will be making using the super cool Round and Round Collection from My Mind's Eye at this weeks Product Preview event.

This layout uses papers with cars and the title Let's Go. Some photo ideas include: Road trip photos, travel photos, racing photos, any photos with cars including real cars and toy cars, a photo with a child wearing a car shirt (I had one of those) or as I ended up choosing - a photo of a child/person with a Let's Go attitude. Lots of options when you think outside the box. If you can't find a photo, don't despair - this layout can easily have a photo added later.

Please bring:

• One 4"x6" photo. Landscape or portrait orientation will work fine.
  
• Basic Kit including fine tip scissors.
• A dark brown, or dark red felt tip pen. I used a Sharpie since it has lots of ink but a Tombow or other felt will work fine.
• A journalling pen for fine writing.
  
• Adhesives: Photosplits and a fine tip clear drying adhesive (a glue stick would also work)

Here's the lowdown of the classes we have coming up for the rest of the month. Keep an eye out for another Product Preview event too!

A layout from one of our past Parent and Child Classes

Parent and Child Class
Date: Saturday 21st November at 1pm
Class fee: $12 including materials

A fun hands on class for you and your child. Create two 8" x 8" pages in this workshop. Recommended for children aged 4 - 8years.

Fabulous cards from the Masterboard Class

Masterboard Card Class
Date: Monday 23rd November 10am - 12noon
Class fee $25 including materials

Learn how to make co-ordinating sets of cards using the Masterboard technique. At this class you will make a Masterboard background and cards with a variety of inks and stamps on a Christmas theme. Suitable for beginners and intermediate papercrafters.



Robot Action Page
Dates: Part Two - Monday 23rd November at 7pm
Class fee: $25 including materials

Part two of this interactive double page layout featuring turning gears and pull out hidden journaling. Using Kaisercraft double sided scrapbook papers this workshop is spread over two evenings (one evening per page). This page has WOW factor!
Suitable for intermediate and advanced scrapbookers. Come along even if you haven't attended part one. Part One will be scheduled again upon request.




Beginners Scrapbooking:

Date: Tuesday 24th November. Two time slots available 10am and 7pm Class fee: $20 including materials.

Create your first page in this class and learn the basics. A great class to ask questions. All beginners welcome. Crop Night Date: Thursday 26th November Time: 6pm - 10pm Class Fee: $10 Crop nights are an open night to work on your pages and have helpful assistance from our friendly Crop Tutor Michelle Reid. Come along on your own or with a group for progress on your pages, cup of tea and chat plus you have the whole store selection at your fingertips so you can choose that perfect paper or embellishment. Crop nights are just $10 to attend and we keep a tab for you during the evening of any products you may wish to purchase. No bookings necessary. All welcome! Yummy Coffee and Chocolate Book Coffee & Chocolate Handmade Book Workshop Thursday 26th November at 6.30pm with follow up class at Altered Book Club Thursday 10th December at 6.30pm Class fee: $65.00 Including materials/collage pack In this special class you will receive a wonderful collage pack of Seven Gypsies book covers and pages, fabrics, patterned paper and cardstock. Plus a huge selection of coffee and chocolate collage images. Treats from Caffe L'affare too!! Techniques include Coffee dying, collage and gesso stamping. In the first evening we will create the main structure of the book by working on our background pages, learn background page dying and stamping techniques and start putting our books together. The followup to this class (optional) at our Altered Book Club evening on the 10th December, 6.30pm we will continue working on your books adding collage images and embellishments.

Stylish Christmas Cards

Need some ideas for your handmade Christmas cards? Four fantastic cards full of techniques. Glitter, folding cards, Cuttlebug techniques and more. I especially love the Pressie Card greeting card with a special slot to hold it safe. Suitable for all levels of paper crafter.


MEGA Crop:

Date: Friday 27th November Time: 6pm till Midnight Mega crop of scrapbooking! Lots of fun. Bring your current projects to work on. There will also be a mini Make'n'take project, scrapbooking game and supper.

So as you can see there is something for everyone. Crops are great for working on those Christmas projects, get some help with ideas by attending the Christmas Card and Masterboard Classes. Or simply take some time out and lean some new techniques in the Layout and book classes.
